Sound Advice: Tricking out your TV

Q: I love my new HDTV (Smart TV); but now I'd like to improve the sound quality. What are my options?

A: With so much attention given to the television screen, it's easy to overlook the other important element of your home theater: sound.
Oh sure, your TV's stereo audio might be OK for watching the evening news or a rerun of an old sitcom, but you can do much, much better for the latest television programs, sports, video games, music videos and movies. As George Lucas once famously said, sound is half the movie experience.
You do have a few options to improve the audio quality of your big-screen entertainment. One is to buy an audio-video (AV) receiver, which is required to decode and distribute a surround-sound mix to speakers spread throughout the room. An AV receiver and six or more speakers - including a sub-woofer for booming bass - can help replicate the multi-channel movie-theatre experience in your home.
Instead of buying everything separately, a "home theater in a box" is a convenient option that includes the AV receiver, speakers and, in some cases, a Blu-ray disc player.
But not everyone has the budget, room size or technical know-how to buy and install one of these solutions. A newer and increasingly popular alternative is to buy a sound bar, a horizontal speaker that sits just above or below the television screen. Sound bars house multiple speakers and can simulate surround sound for TV shows, movies, music and video games. They're generally less expensive than an AV receiver and separate speakers, and they're easy to set up - plus, they take up little room, so they're ideal for small rooms, condos and apartments.
Along with support for multiple movie-audio formats such as Dolby Digital Pro Logic II and DTS Digital Surround, many sound bars ship with a wireless subwoofer (to place somewhere else in the room). Also, nearly all new models have integrated Bluetooth technology so you can stream music to the sound bar from your smartphone, tablet or computer.

"The SpringsComm Connection   carries a variety of sound bars and audio equipment in the warehouse and online."

Q: I've heard of a device called a "phablet." Should I be interested?

A: As the name suggests, a phablet is somewhere between a phone and a tablet. These portable devices look like large phones - with touch screens measuring 5 to 6.9 inches diagonally - and are usually powered by the versatile Andriod platform.
A phablet borrows the best from the phone and tablet camps. On one hand, because they take a SIM card (and thus offer cellular connectivity), they are super-sized smartphones that can make calls and access online content - even when there isn't a Wi-Fi hotspot nearby.
And because they've got large screens, like a tablet, they're also ideal for watching video, playing games, reading ebooks, looking at photos and browsing the web. Also, phablets work with virtually all of the downloadable apps available at the Google Play store. Unlike most tablets, which are typically 7 to 11 inches, a phablet can still fit in a pocket or clutch purse.
Typing and reading messages on a larger screen might be more comfortable than on a smaller phone. Some phablets, such as Samsung Galaxy Note 3.0, ship with high tech stylus tucked into the back in case you'd like to use it instead of a finger.

The Story Behind the 2nd Edition Inter-Schools Quiz Competition Which surmounted into Documentary II.

The brain has both a success mechanism and a failure mechanism. The failure mechanism is the temptation to follow the undisciplined path of least resistance, to do what is fun and easy rather than what is hard and necessary.

The failure mechanism operates automatically throughout your life, which is the major reason why most people fail to fulfill their individual potentials.

While your failure mechanism functions automatically your success mechanism is triggered by a goal. When you decide on a goal, you override your failure mechanism, and you can change the direction of your life. You go from being a ship with a rudder, drifting with the tide, to being a ship with a rudder, a compass, and a clear destination, sailing in a straight direction towards your goal.

It was a final quest in 2024, a summer programme organized by Emaluck Institute, titled "Look Inside the Book Initiative" pioneered by Engr. (Dr.) Emmanuel Binitie. It was a concept to encourage students to cultivate the habit of reading in and outside the school. The tutors firstly enticed the students with captivating pictures from the book then ultimately encourage the students to study a character that is what observing and reading, and then on and on till the book is completely read and understood.

As usual, SpringsComm organizes her annual quiz competitions for secondary schools and all preparations was made in place, logistics in place for official invitations, date was fixed to be my birthday. Letters were written signed and stamped before dispatching to different schools, ministries and organizations within the Akinyele Local Government Area of Ibadan in Oyo State, Nigeria. On the D-day, something caught my attention. Afterall SpringsComm was dominating comprehensively from the bottom to the top. It was a modern-day David triumphing over obstacles known as Goliath. The story of SpringsComm events has always been a movie but this was a drama entirely where no one of us was prepared for. There were moments of disaster (book launch inserted in thr program turned sour) of high risk (it was a time to make or break our investments) with long days of unrelenting hardwork thrown down the drain when some officials badged into an ongoing event and forcefully stopped us from continuing as we could not meet up with their impromptu requests.

SpringsComm had a strategy that was smart and cool, we kept our customers (schools that were invited for the quiz) in full focus, understood their needs and applied that knowledge. SpringsComm chose its people well, and recognized and rewarded them appropriately (prizes for students who out-performed their counterparts).

Collaboration and diversity bring opportunities, but they also bring frictions, which slow down things. SpringsComm refusal to bend to the tune of the local officials from the Ministry of Education resulted into the abrupt stoppage of the 2nd Edition of the Quiz Competition. Subsequently, the issue was resolved but it was too late to get the spilled coffee back in the mug. A bribe won't do! Since they refused to find a balance in our initial letters of support sent to them before we began the event.

As such SpringsComm contracted "Emaluck Institute" accredited by Robert Kennedy College, Zurich, Switzerland that offers online and offline lectures and certificate programs to finalized the screening process of the quiz in the respective schools.

Details from Documentary 2: The Final Quest

We finally subjected to "Economy of Effort". Results and winners of the 2nd Edition Inter-Schools Quiz Competition was broadcasted live on Springs TV.

"The state of cognitive dissonance is the discomfort people feel as new information contradicts their beliefs or intended actions"

Adventures in Quantum Creativity

What is Quantum Creativity?

When specific symbols are consciously manipulated and integrated into everyday environments - we are able to move energy at subatomic levels, and dramatically recreate our reality. We may then magnetize to ourselves anything we desire. This is Quantum Creativity.

Within the electromagnetic movement or transformation of energy, healing may occur.

Practical  issues related to health, relationships, money and career may be objectified and resolved through the consistent practice of elecromagnetic restructuring.

Quantum Creativity: Unlocking the Uncertainty of Innovation

Is Your Next Idea Already in Superposition?

Ever had a moment where an idea seemed to appear out of nowhere—like magic? One second, you’re stuck, and the next, inspiration strikes. It’s almost as if your brain was holding multiple possibilities at once, waiting for the right moment to collapse into a single, brilliant thought.

Sound familiar? Well, believe it or not, that’s exactly how quantum physics works.

In the quantum world, particles don’t exist in just one state—they exist in superposition, holding multiple possibilities until observed. And in many ways, creativity works the same way. The best ideas often come from embracing uncertainty, making unexpected connections, and taking imaginative leaps—all of which sound a lot like quantum principles.

So, what if we could hack our creativity by thinking more like a quantum particle? Let’s dive into the weird, wonderful world of Quantum Creativity.

---

Quantum Concepts in Creativity

1. Superposition: Holding Multiple Ideas at Once

In quantum physics, a particle can exist in multiple states until measured. Similarly, creative ideas exist in a fluid, undefined state before you settle on one. The more possibilities you allow to coexist, the richer your creativity becomes.

How to apply it:

✅ When brainstorming, don’t rush to pick an idea—let multiple possibilities exist before making a decision.

✅ Play with contradictions! Some of the best ideas come from paradoxes.

✅ Let ideas “simmer” in your mind. Salvador Dalí would take micro-naps with a key in hand, waking up at the moment of drifting off—catching ideas in their rawest, unfiltered state.

---

2. Entanglement: When Ideas Interconnect

Quantum entanglement means two particles can be linked, no matter how far apart they are. Change one, and the other reacts instantly. Ideas work the same way—sometimes, seemingly unrelated concepts snap together in unexpected ways.

How to apply it:

✅ Expose yourself to different fields—science, art, philosophy. The more varied your inputs, the more surprising your connections.

✅ Keep a “creative entanglement journal”—write down random ideas and revisit them later to find unexpected links.

✅ Collaborate! Some of history’s greatest innovations came from idea entanglement between thinkers—like the Renaissance or Silicon Valley.

Example: The invention of Velcro? It happened because an engineer noticed how burrs clung to his dog’s fur. Two unrelated things—nature and fabric—entangled to create something entirely new.

---

3. The Uncertainty Principle: Embracing the Unknown

Werner Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle states that you can’t measure both the position and momentum of a quantum particle with precision. The more you focus on one, the less you know about the other.

Creativity thrives in the same kind of uncertainty—too much control kills innovation, while too much chaos leads to confusion.

How to apply it:

✅ Get comfortable with the unknown—if you always know where you’re going, you’re not exploring.

✅ Allow for randomness. Some of the best ideas happen when you embrace detours.

✅ If you’re stuck, step away. Einstein’s biggest breakthroughs often came during thought experiments—imagining himself riding a beam of light rather than staring at equations.

---

Thinking Like a Quantum Particle

If creativity follows quantum rules, we can train ourselves to think more like a quantum system.

✨ Hold multiple ideas at once (superposition) instead of rushing decisions.

✨ Look for unexpected connections (entanglement) between unrelated concepts.

✨ Let uncertainty fuel creativity rather than fearing the unknown.

✨ Make quantum leaps by taking creative breaks—sometimes, stepping away leads to breakthroughs.

---

Quantum Creativity in Action

This isn’t just theory—some of the most brilliant minds in history have unknowingly applied quantum creativity.

🔹 Leonardo da Vinci (Superposition): His notebooks were full of unfinished ideas, allowing multiple possibilities to coexist before choosing one.

🔹 Nikola Tesla (Entanglement): He believed ideas existed in a vast “ether,” waiting to be discovered—similar to quantum entanglement.

🔹 Marie Curie (Uncertainty): Her discoveries on radioactivity came from embracing the unknown, not fearing it.

Today, quantum creativity is shaping fields like AI, quantum computing, and neuroscience. Could future technology help us tap into human creativity in ways we can’t yet imagine?

---

Final Thought: Is Your Mind a Quantum System?

If ideas exist in superposition, then your next breakthrough might already be out there—waiting to be observed.

So, next time you’re brainstorming or stuck on a project, ask yourself:

What possibilities am I not observing yet?

Because in the world of quantum creativity, the moment you look at things differently, the universe might just respond.

Our open Studio/Retreat is open to individuals, or groups by appointments. In a relaxing and quiet environment we will encourage you to create your perfect day.

The Importance of Taking Personal Responsibility

 Text: 2 Corinthians 5:10

"For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due to us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad."

Not long ago, a young woman was attacked in a New York residential area while at least 38 neighbours watched from their windows. And during the course of the 30-minuite assault, not even one person telephoned the police. The young lady sustained critical injuries and died for the simple reason that no one would pick up the phone and call for help.

Interviews conducted with the people who witnessed this terrible crime revealed that they were not totally indifferent as many had suspected. In fact, many of them were horrified when they saw what was happening. But the main reason nobody did anything was that each person thought someone else would take responsibility and get help. This kind of attitude has created a vacuum of responsibility in our society where people simply point fingers instead of doing what's right.

But on the day you stand before God, there will be no finger-pointing. So in this life, take responsibility for your actions and stand up for what's right when others sit and point fingers.

Breaking News

The impact of technology; on how it affects your friendship, your children, your marriage, and your thinking.

Only a few disciplined person can tell that they control their devices and the other large amount of people are affected subtly in ways they do not realize - even in ways they do not want.

The CEO of Springs Communications welcomes you 👇

HOW DOES TECHNOLOGY AFFECT YOUR FRIENDSHIPS?
Thanks to texting, email, videoconferencing, and social media, two people can communicate easily, even when they live comtinents apart. For them, technology is a useful servant. However, some people who primarily use technology to maintain friendships tend to ...
■ show less empathy for their friends
■ feel more lonely and empty
■ focus more on self than on others.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
☆ Have more in-person conversation
☆ Become a better listener and check on friend going through a hard time

♧ "The inter-schools quiz event is a programme under the umbrella where students, educators, can learn, share, promote and empower themselves."

LifeStyle Magazine News Update

The 1st edition quiz competition was held at Aponmode High School, Moniya, for participating schools around Moniya neighbourhood only, and now the 2nd edition quiz competition will involve all of Akinyele LGA and participating schools will be from this LGA. The 3rd edition is expected to be at the state level and then 4th to be national.

Inspite of this progression, we tend to carry schools along with trending practices for student's learning patterns and school developments inorder to meet up with world educational standards which is more of creative thinking and learning with theoritical, practical and fun curriculum.

HOW DOES TECHNOLOGY AFFECT YOUR CHILDREN?

Children are so proficient at using technology that they are commonly called "digital natives", while adults who are less adept at using technology are referred to as "digital immigrants."
At same time, some have noted that young people who spend a lot of time online tend to...
■ develop a dependency on their devices
■ become involved in cyberbullying
■ be exposed to pornography, whether or not by choice.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
Giving children a smartphone or other device before they have the skills to use it properly is "just as irresponsible as letting them jump headfirst into a pool without knowing how to swim"
☆ train and guide children on the use of technology (embracing and discipline for contentment in content exclusion)

♤ Emaluck Institue is an online (virtual) training accredited by Robert Kennedy College, Zurich, Switzerland ready to guide, tutor and put all ages from beginners to expert in the line of disciplined learning. With trained and experienced personnels handling research programs for business enterprising as we inculcate Cloud Computing and Remote Desktop Applications. Take a review of the video below 💯👇

"Despite the challenges faced by the organisers of the quiz competition, unrelenting efforts and supports from collaborators keeps giving room to more opportunities."

| Dr. Emmanuel Binitie has thereby used this means of an event to issue scholarship trainings and provided employments for both the young and old which also includes all sorts of empowerment programmes in tech and agri sector in the agenda of the company at Springs Communications  |

"We now have Yes EdCareers in the prospectus, as guest speaker in the 2nd edition of the quiz competition. Yes EdCareers is a company that offers social and community health care services and career counseling"

HOW DOES TECHNOLOGY AFFECT YOUR MARRIAGE?

When used properly, technology can strengthen the relationship between husband and wife. For example, it can help a couple stay in touch throughout the day.
However, some spouses allow misuse of technology to...
■ rob them of valuable time together
■ bring work into the home unnecessarily
■ create distrust and even disloyalty

WHAT YOU CAN DO
start by setting priorities, spending quality time together by...
☆ Have at least one meal together each day
☆ create periods of time to unplug from devices and talk to eachother at least 15mins without devices nearby.

HOW DOES TECHNOLOGY AFFECT YOUR THINKING?

People are constantly learning - whether for school, for work, of for other reasons. Technology can help. Never in history has it been so easy to access so much information, without having to leave your home or even get up from your chair.
However, many who make extensive use of technology find that they...
■ have difficulty concentrating while reading
■ have trouble focusing on one task at a time
■ become quickly bored in moments of solitude.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
You must examine your use of technology

Help Us Keep The Spirit of Unity Alive

Help us Keep the Spirit of Unity Alive!

BEE Foundation, a registered Section of SpringsComm, is facing a crisis that threatens our ability to carry out the vital work we do in our community. Our current vehicle, which has been the lifeline of our mission, has come to a halt, leaving us stranded and unable to fulfill our commitment to those who rely on us.

Our work is a labor of love, guided by the principles of love, kindness, and a relentless dedication to serving change in our community. Our vehicle is not just a mode of transportation; it is the vessel that carries hope to those who need it most.

The tasks our vehicle performs are essential to our mission:

1. Dropping off and collecting donations for the less fortunate.
2. Transporting members to receive their life-saving medication from day hospitals.

We have faith that destiny will bring us a helping hand, a guardian angel who can provide us with a bigger, more reliable vehicle to continue our mission with maximum precision.

We humbly implore you to be a part of our journey, to keep the spirit of unity alive. Every act of kindness, every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to our goal. Your support can make a world of difference and ensure that we never have to turn away those in need.
